Fresh press rosin preserves the purest expression of a strains terpene profile. For optimal care, store it in the freezer for long-term preservation. When preparing a session, let the sealed jar reach room temperature BFORE OPENING to prevent condensation from degrading the extract. Dab at low temperatures (375°F–450°F) to preserve the volatile, strain-faithful terpenes

Care and Storage
-
Freezer Storage: Keep fresh press in an airtight, UV-resistant glass jar inside a freezer (ideally between 0F and -10F. This halts the natural degradation and nucleation process (buttering), keeping your rosin in its original glass-like state
-
The "Defrost" Rule: Never open the jar while it is cold. Always let the sealed container sit at room temperature for 15 to 30 minutes before opening. Failing to do so allows ambient moisture and condensation to contaminate the rosin, causing it to sizzle or pop on the nail.
-
Handling: Fresh press is sticky, sappy, and oily. Keep your dab tools chilled so the concentrate easily slides off the tool and into your banger
Cold Cured batter
If you prefer a creamy, easy-to-scoop consistency (known as "cold cure" badder), you can manually cure your fresh press at home:
-
Let it Warm: Remove the fresh press from the freezer, let the jar reach room temperature, and leave it unopened for 24 to 48 hours.
-
Seal and Rest: Store the jar in a cool, dark, and dry area around 50F to 60F for one to three days.
-
Nucleation & Whipping: The cannabinoids will begin to crash and nucleate. Once you see a layer of oily terpenes sitting on top of an opaque, creamy batter, use a clean dab tool to gently whip the rosin until it reaches a homogeneous, buttery consistency.
-
Storage: Once whipped, store your newly created cold cure in a regular refrigerator around 40F to maintain its texture and longevity

Best Practices for Dabbing
-
Low Temp is Key: Fresh press is bursting with delicate, volatile terpenes. To truly taste the cultivar's profile and avoid burning these compounds away, aim to dab at lower temperatures ranging between 375F and 450F.
-
Cleanliness: Because it contains plant waxes and lipids, fresh press may leave behind more residue in your banger. Always swab out your quartz nail thoroughly with a dry cotton swab, followed by an ISO-soaked swab, immediately after your dab to prevent chazzing (permanent staining) on your equipment.
